Many people shop online using the services of so-called online stores. In the near future, most buyers will be able to use the services of virtual supermarkets.
Virtual supermarkets are one of the latest innovations, which is an indicator of the development of scientific and technological progress. Such a service is designed for business people who cannot afford to spend their personal time visiting a regular store.
Virtual supermarkets are already operating in Korean subways. Their showcases are located at metro stations. In the case of placing ordinary display cases, such as they are used to seeing, the company would be guaranteed to have problems regarding compliance with sanitary standards. But the fact of the matter is that the showcases are virtual and are stickers with images of the store's assortment.
The busy Korean population enjoyed this innovation. Customers now have the opportunity to place their orders while waiting for the train to arrive. Buyers choose a convenient delivery time, and a courier brings the selected goods to customers home.
Those wishing to make purchases in a virtual supermarket need a smartphone, with the help of which the customer of the store can take a picture of the QR code of the desired product. Payment for the goods is also made using a mobile phone. The purchase price is debited from the account after the customer makes a choice.
It is planned to open similar virtual supermarkets in the Moscow metro. It is assumed that the store will consist of stands displaying products, prices, descriptions, as well as a QR code with which products can be ordered with home delivery.
According to Nikita Kuznetsov, Deputy Head of the Trade Department, the main goal of the project is to develop online commerce in the capital. The authorities believe that such an innovation will not only save Muscovites' time, but will also contribute to the creation of Moscow's image as a high-tech city. The idea is planned to be implemented in the near future.
