Premium supermarkets first appeared in Russia in the 2000s and were originally called grocery stores. The fifth place in the ranking of the capital's elite supermarkets is held by the Perekrestok supermarket, where you can buy both the freshest everyday products and delicacies brought from all over the world. The fourth place is taken by the premium supermarkets "Seventh Continent-Five Stars" and "Gastronomy", owned by the chain food company "Seventh Continent".
