Road maps of Russian cities can be purchased at any bookstore. As a rule, they are a large book in which all the existing roads of our country are depicted page by page. On average, the cost of such an atlas is 250-300 rubles, depending on the design and year of publication.
Step 2
As a rule, in each of the collections of maps there are symbols that are located at the beginning of the book. Before you take up in detail the consideration of maps that will help you when plotting a route to a particular city, study in detail the beginning of the book. Pay attention to how federal and country roads, campgrounds and parking lots are marked, this may come in handy on the road.
Step 3
One of the significant drawbacks of Russian road maps is that it is not always possible to find the locations of gas stations in them. Therefore, it will not be superfluous to stock up on a few liters of gasoline in case you do not reach the nearest gas station. Also, roadside cafes on the highway are not indicated in the maps. The authors of some of the collections indicate on the maps the location of the posts of the patrol and guard service. This is done for drivers who may encounter any manifestation of crime on the highway (robbery, hijacking, etc.).

Be sure to pay attention to how the service stations are indicated on the map, this may be useful to you in the future. Keep in mind that the services of such stations may not cost you cheap, so try to prepare the car before the trip so that there will be no problems on the way.

In collections, roadmaps may be inconsistently arranged, therefore, a general map of Russia is often given at the beginning, divided into sectors under certain numbers. These numbers usually indicate pages on which you can get more information on the map of the region of interest.
