Parachuting today is one of the most popular extreme sports among young people, requiring precise actions and certain knowledge, on which the life of a parachutist will first of all depend. That is why, before jumping with a parachute, a person must undergo special training and instruction, which will allow not to make mistakes when jumping, tell you how to assemble a parachute correctly and reveal other equally important questions for a novice parachutist.
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, I would like to note that the parachute is assembled by the "laying down", that is, by a specialist, trained by the person responsible for laying, and "helping" - as a rule, by the parachutist himself. Moreover, all actions are strictly controlled by the instructor.
Step 2
Inspect the parachute before packing. To do this, you must perform the following steps one by one. Examine the canopies and lines. To do this, it is necessary to check all the stitching and fabric of the dome in the light. The fabric should not have any foreign stains, it should be paid and whole. Lanyards must be folded together and tightened to see their integrity and strength.
Step 3
Examine the dome cover. You should carefully inspect the cover for damage, all small parts must be in good working order.
Step 4
Examine the rubber honeycomb carefully. If you find any damage, replace the honeycomb with new ones. Remember that repairing the rubber comb is strictly prohibited.
Step 5
Examine the harness. This system must also be free from damage to fasteners and textile parts. Check the condition of the lanyard, eyelets, carabiners, cones, boot and pull rope. Check the integrity of the bag in which the parachute will be stowed.
Step 6
Prepare the parachute for assembly. Insert the pull-ring cable into the flexible hose. Place the ring itself in the pocket of the harness. Connect the locks on the double buckle harness.
Step 7
Place all equipment near the parachute backpack. Position the harness with the free ends up. The satchel must lie on the harness. Pass the stacking tube through the eyelets. Slide the springs onto the cone.
Step 8
Start folding the cone. To do this, initially fold the canvas of the parachute, starting to do it from the bottom up. Transfer one part (right) of the dome to its left half. In this case, it is important that the marking is on top.
Step 9
Fold in the lines after you have finished with the taper. Place the cover on the dome and place it on the knapsack. Thread the rubber honeycomb into the pockets and run the flexible hose through the harness loop.
Step 10
Clamp the knapsack elastic into the wire loops that are located on the valves. Place the hood under the knapsack rubbers. To do this, pass the loop of the pulling cable through the loop of the rope, and then pass the end of the rope with the carabiner into the loop of the rope and tighten the loop.
Step 11
Insert the lanyard carabiner into the right valve pocket. Place the end of the flexible hose into the satchel under the right valve. Thread the lanyard on the right valve of the knapsack into the ring. Everything is ready - the parachute is assembled and ready for operation.
