Essential oils are a favorite remedy that women have used since time immemorial: even Cleopatra used them as a deodorant. Natural quality oils are not cheap. In order for them to last longer and not deteriorate, they must be properly stored.
Necessary
- - essential oils in a package with an expiration date;
- - small glass containers made of dark glass with tight lids;
- - cool dark place.
Instructions
Step 1
When buying an essential oil, pay attention to the expiration date on the packaging. It is better to refuse to purchase oil if less than six months are left until the end of the shelf life.
Step 2
At home, use small glass containers made of dark glass as containers for storing essential oils. The glass can be brown or blue, both are suitable. In the salon, you can use special larger bottles with tight caps.
Step 3
Choose a cool, dark place for storage. Artificial lighting is not dangerous for essential oils, but keep them out of the sun.
Step 4
If you use essential oils all the time, do not refrigerate them. Use this measure only if you do not plan to use the product for a long time. Allow oil to warm to room temperature before use.
Step 5
Make sure the containers are tightly closed each time. Do not leave oils open, even for a short time, as they instantly react with air.
Step 6
Do not use a cloudy, thickened essential oil, or one that has acquired an uncharacteristic sour smell.
