Vermouth is a wine of increased strength, to which natural or artificial flavors are added. Typically, vermouth comes in red, white, and rosé, depending on the type of wine being prepared. Olive is usually added to white vermouth when serving. Also found dry vermouth and a drink with the addition of orange peel or lime. The main countries in which vermouth are produced are France and Italy. This drink is used as an aperitif and dessert wine. Vermouth is most often drunk by women, sometimes diluted with orange or cherry juice.
