An inductor can be described as an inductor. It is needed to regulate the amperage and to limit electrical signals. In this regard, several areas of use of this device can be distinguished: computer technology, cars and fluorescent lamps.

Computer technology

A throttle is a special technical device that regulates the flow rate and helps to change certain characteristics of the working fluid. It looks like a plate with a special flow area. It can also be described as an inductor. One of the areas where it is applied is computer technology.

In this case, the choke is used in the power circuits of motherboards, video cards, processors, power supplies, and so on. Recently, the most common closed inductors in metal cases in order to reduce radiation, noise and high-frequency whistling during coil operation.

Cars

In automotive practice, the phrase "throttle assembly" is often used. In this case, it is possible to use one of two types of device, that is, a mechanical or electrical choke. It starts working after the driver presses the gas pedal, after which the throttle valve starts to move. Together with this, the supply of the fuel-air mixture, which enters the engine system, is regulated. This damper is connected to a special sensor, which transmits information to the computer, which makes it possible to determine the required amount of fuel. In this case, the throttle is located between the air filter and the vehicle engine and is attached to the engine system.

Fluorescent Lamp

The fluorescent lamp is not able to connect directly to the network. To carry out its work, it is necessary to create certain conditions for supplying voltage, as well as current control. A whole set of equipment helps to achieve these goals, among which there is a choke.

In this case, this device limits the voltage that is applied to the electrodes during lamp burning. In addition, the choke creates a high starting voltage for a short time, which is able to form the electrical charge necessary for igniting the lamp between the electrodes. Depending on how the choke operates, a specific type of this device is used: single-phase or three-phase type.

The first of them is used for industrial and household lamps, and the second for DRL and DNAT lamps. They are designed to operate on a 380 or 220 volt power grid. Chokes are located inside the luminaire on the body. It can be concluded that such equipment is used in various devices, the work of which is connected with electricity.
