There are situations in life when you need to hold your breath for a long time. First of all, this applies to people engaged in scuba diving. But even for those who have never experienced a penchant for diving, diving, spearfishing, this skill can be useful.
Instructions
Step 1
Of course, all people are different. And the respiratory rate depends on many factors: general health, metabolic characteristics, physique characteristics, and certain sports. But, subject to some general rules, most people are quite capable of learning how to hold their breath for a long time. The main thing is your desire and aspiration.
Step 2
First of all, start exercising your lungs. Draw in as much "air in the chest" as possible, and exhale as slowly as possible. This exercise must be performed daily, at least 3 times - in the morning, afternoon and evening. As you train, the number of approaches can be increased.
Step 3
Try to master the technique of self-hypnosis at least at an initial level. It has been documented that many yogis have the ability to dramatically slow down their metabolism, while minimizing their breathing rate as well. Of course, this is only available to very few; you may well learn to reflect unpleasant thoughts, irritants. When a person is calm, "relaxed" his body needs less oxygen for normal functioning. Accordingly, breathing may be more infrequent.
Step 4
If your physique is far from "ideal", be sure to play sports. Besides the health benefits, it will lead to weight loss. Consequently, the required oxygen consumption will also decrease. And if necessary, you can hold your breath for a much longer time than usual.
Step 5
After preliminary preparation (lung training, meditation, sports), proceed to the main thing - exercises for holding your breath in the water. It is better to perform them in natural reservoirs (if this is not possible, you can use a bath with cool water).
