The most durable wristwatch bracelet is metal. It is supplied to the consumer with a margin of length. Before installing such a strap on your watch, you must shorten it to fit the diameter of your hand.
Instructions
Step 1
To fit your wrist, first install the bracelet on another watch that you do not mind scratching. They must be the same length as the watch on which the strap will be permanently fitted. The side of the bracelet, which is closer to the latch cover, turn towards the top of the watch case, the side closer to the two folding straps - towards the bottom of the case.
Step 2
Familiarize yourself with the strap design. It consists of links and staples. To shorten it by one link, pull out one bracket completely, and bend only one side of the adjacent one. After pulling out the released link, insert the bent side of the bracket into the previous link and bend it. To bend and bend the staples, use a screwdriver, nippers. Perform all operations carefully so as not only not to injure, but also not to scratch those parts of the strap that cannot be removed, especially from the front side.
Step 3
Try putting the watch on your wrist. If they hang too much, removing one link was not enough. Just a little slack means it's time to finish shortening the bracelet. You cannot make it tight, otherwise it will be extremely inconvenient to wear the watch.
Step 4
Repeat the link removal until there is little slack in the bracelet on your wrist.
Step 5
Remove the strap from the watch you used to adjust it to the length and re-fit to the watch you intend to wear. If you do not have a special tool for removing the bracelet from your watch, use a small chisel.
Step 6
If you are used to leather or plastic straps, learn how to properly don your watch with a metal bracelet. Putting the watch on your hand, press the strap that is closer to the latch cover to it, then press the latch together with this strap to the remaining one and click it. If the cover has an additional lock, close it.
Step 7
To remove the watch, open the latch, if present, then pull the cover from the side facing the bottom of the watch until it clicks, and you can remove it.
