The debate about whether it is worth carrying a weapon - a firearm or a traumatic one - has been going on for a long time. At the same time, the modern arms market is satiated, in particular, it is not difficult to acquire a pistol allowed to carry, it is much more difficult to choose one from a whole range.
Instructions
Step 1
Currently, there is a fairly large selection of different types of pistols, such as: gas, pneumatic, traumatic.
All of these types of pistols are commercially available, but in order to obtain them, you need to apply for a permit to purchase and carry them. It is not difficult to do this: contact the police for the appropriate permission and go through a medical commission.
Step 2
The market for gas pistols is dominated by foreign brands, but there are also Russian ones, such as the IZH 79 pistol. If you decide to choose a gas pistol, you need to remember that when fired, it emits a strong pop, this is considered a disadvantage of the weapon. In addition, due to the insistent demands of doctors, the compositions of the gases used are weakened, as a result of which they do not effectively act on persons who are intoxicated with drugs or alcohol, the effect should not be expected from the use of such a pistol in frosty weather. In addition, gas pistols have a fairly short range, and in a headwind, a gas cloud can hit you.
Step 3
Air pistols fall into two categories. The first category is pistols with a muzzle pressure of 2 to 8 J. These types belong to the household class due to their low strength, they are not subject to registration with the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Only a bottle can be broken from such a pistol, but when using them in self-defense, you will not get results. The second category is pistols with muzzle energy from 8 to 25J. For these pistols, you need to obtain a license from the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The disadvantages of pneumatic pistols include the fact that for firing they use a can of carbon dioxide, which must be constantly inserted into the pistol, due to which the passage valve and cuff, which are under pressure, wear out.
Step 4
Traumatic pistols are most effective in self-defense due to the fact that a bullet fired from such a pistol has a high initial velocity and, when it hits the target, will have an instant stopping effect on the enemy. The most common model IZH 79-9T in the 9 mm caliber. This type of pistol is compact and resembles a Makarov pistol in shape, so that the attackers who attacked you, when they see it, will lose the desire to bring the crime they started to the end. There are also foreign types of traumatic weapons on the market. On the market there is also a wide selection of different types of ammunition for different types of pistols.
