A very interesting, fast and real way to make ice from liquid. Liquid turns into ice right in front of your eyes in a matter of seconds. This trick can surprise your friends and acquaintances.
Necessary
- - sodium acetate,
- - water.
Instructions
Step 1
Sodium acetate can be purchased at a chemical and reagent store. But you can also get it at home. For this we need vinegar essence and soda.
Step 2
Mix baking soda with vinegar and wait until the reaction stops (until bubbles stop coming out). Then this mixture must be evaporated and cooled. A solid piece should form (drain the remaining liquid) - this is the crystalline sodium acetate hydrate, which must be used immediately.
Step 3
Put the dish with water on fire and bring to boiling point (but do not allow to bubble). Add sodium acetate to the water and stir until it stops dissolving.
Step 4
Gently pour water with stirred sodium acetate into a glass or plate (you do not need to pour out the precipitate) and put it in the refrigerator.
Step 5
After cooling, you will have liquid ice at your disposal. Upon contact with any object, be it a finger or a fallen crumb, the liquid will instantly turn into ice.
Step 6
You can make liquid ice in another way. Place distilled water in the freezer and freeze overnight. Please note that it does not freeze, but remains in a liquid state. But if this water is poured into another container, it will instantly freeze.
