Modern Chinese manufacturers produce not only cheap consumer goods, but also quite high-quality weapons, which, due to the low price, are quite competitive in the world market. An example of this is the BAM XS-B50 air rifle.
The BAM XS-B50 single-shot air rifle can be called the standard of such weapons in the lower price segment. The BAM XS-B50 is believed to be a creatively redesigned and cheaper version of the British Daystate X2 rifle. Like most PCP (air pre-pumped) rifles, the Chinese design is very comfortable to use, but at the same time has an impressively low price.
This air rifle weighs 3.6 kg, has a total length of 109 cm and has a caliber of 177 (4.5 mm), 22 (5.5 mm); sighting range up to 90; working pressure of 200 bar; the number of shots from refueling up to 45 times. Among its advantages, first of all, it should be noted high strength. In American weapon tuning workshops, these rifles are accelerated to a power of 155 J! The design of the Chinese pneumatics can withstand this pressure without problems. It may be recalled here that the maximum power allowed by Russian law for pneumatic weapons is only 25 J.
The trigger mechanism is fully consistent with the English original and, with additional grinding of the parts, ensures a smooth and comfortable descent. The bullet rammer and bolt are made of the strongest red-hot iron. Shooting, in addition to power, is also characterized by high accuracy. The advantages of the BAM XS-B50 rifle include the presence of an anti-corrosion coating, low recoil and ease of shooting, both with the right and left hands.
The disadvantage of this weapon can be called poor balancing, which makes it difficult to shoot from hand, but when shooting from a stop, it nevertheless shows a fairly good result. In batches of these rifles, there are individual copies with a curved barrel. Therefore, when buying a Chinese air rifle, you should pay special attention to the straightness of the barrel, the state of the grooves and whether the barrel is in the center of the stock. The bolts of the fasteners are made of low-quality steel, so something is constantly wobbling in the case.
Summing up, it should be noted that the BAM XS-B50 rifle is a unique weapon for its price range. Some minor flaws that can be eliminated on their own or in the workshop cannot overshadow its outstanding advantages.
