Have you been presented with a luxurious bouquet of roses and want to preserve its beauty for as long as possible? It’s quite real. But it is not enough just to put flowers in water. Follow the advice of professional florists - roses must be processed according to all the rules. And above all, give water to flowers suffering from a lack of moisture.

  • - a deep vase with a wide neck or a bucket;
  • - thin paper;
  • - a sharp knife;
  • - aspirin;
  • - sugar;
  • - Krizal or "Whiteness".

Instructions

Step 1

Examine the roses brought from the store. Remove packaging and decorative items from them. Remove the lower leaves and thorns, and trim the stems that are too long. Make the cut long, at an angle of about 45 degrees - this will provide good nutrition for the flowers.

Step 2

Fill a deep container with water - a bucket or tall, wide-necked vase. The water should not be too cold. It is better if it stands in an open vessel for several hours - so chlorine, harmful to flowers, will evaporate from it.

Step 3

Carefully wrap the rose heads with tissue paper. Place the flowers in the water so that the stems and leaves are completely submerged. In this case, the flower heads should remain on the surface - they can rot in the water.

Step 4

Leave the flowers in a cool, dark place for several hours. The minimum desoldering time is three hours, but if you plan to make compositions from roses, it is better to leave them in water overnight.

Step 5

Prepare containers for roses. Vases must be cleaned and free from dust and debris inside. Fill them with settled, boiled, or better bottled drinking water.

Step 6

Add an aspirin tablet to the water to disinfect and prevent decay. To nourish flowers, you need sugar - 1 tablespoon per liter of water.

Step 7

Remove the roses from the water, gently shake off the drops, free the buds from the paper. Re-cut the flowers by cutting the stems obliquely with a sharp knife. Place the roses in the vase immediately. It is advisable that there are no leaves and thorns under the water - they can accelerate the deterioration of water. To keep the flowers lasting as long as possible, change the water daily, making sure to update the stem cut.

Step 8

Instead of sugar and aspirin, you can add a special flower additive to the water - chrysal. Pre-dilute it according to the recommendation on the package. It also disinfects water well and the usual bleach "Whiteness", added in the proportion - 1 cap for a bucket of water. These funds allow you to change the water in the vases less often - once every three days.
