Installing a submersible pump is an excellent opportunity to solve the problem of water supply at a summer cottage and in a country house. The pump can be installed by yourself. It is not difficult and will not take long.

Necessary

  • - pump passport;
  • - hose;
  • - pipe;
  • - couplings;
  • - staples;
  • - knife;
  • - keys.

Instructions

Step 1

Determine the range of tasks to be solved by installing a submersible pump. If it is watering and filling with water of various containers, then it is advisable to use a hose (the pressure of the pump, which is used for these purposes, is small). The use of a convenient, lightweight and flexible hose is also justified when the pump is installed on a temporary basis.

Step 2

Use a metal or plastic pipe for connection in the case of a stationary installation of the pump, as well as for the operation of the pump in conjunction with a hydraulic accumulator. The value of the maximum pressure for the pipe must not be less than the maximum head of the pump.

Step 3

To use the pump in closed water supply systems, install a non-return valve (if there is no built-in one). It is installed in the discharge nozzle or cuts into the pipe. In the second case, the distance from the check valve to the pump nozzle should be no more than one meter.

Step 4

Connect the pump to the pipe / hose. To do this, use a plastic or brass sleeve of the correct diameter.

Step 5

Fasten the pump cable in the discharge pipe with brackets. This will prevent damage to the cable and make it easier to submerge the pump. To avoid the slightest stress on the cable entry into the pump, fasten the cable to the pipe along its entire length with allowable sagging. Remember! It is strictly forbidden to lift and lower the pump by the electric cable!

Step 6

Attach the safety cable to the lugs (located at the top). Use the supplied nylon cable or steel cable. Just like the cable, the cable in the borehole should not be taut. Its main function is insurance. But in the well, the cable most often supports the pump.

Step 7

In the area next to the well, lay everything out in a straight line. Lower the pump carefully into the borehole / well. If the installation depth is not great, you can do it alone.

Step 8

Determine the immersion depth of the pump and measure this distance. Cut the pipe and connect the end to the head using a socket. Attach the head to the casing. The last step is for wells only.
