The rules for packing and processing parcels are standard for all countries. However, this standard set of recommendations may be increased in each State. There are such additional rules in Moldova - study them before carrying the parcel to the post office.
Instructions
Step 1
Buy a suitable container for your package. Its minimum size is 11x22 cm or 11.4x16.2 cm. If you buy a larger box, make sure that its larger dimension does not exceed 105 cm, and the sum of the perimeter of the largest cross-section and length is 200 cm. Another requirement, for parcels - weight no more than 20 kg.
Step 2
Make sure your items can be forwarded before packing them in the box. There is a list of items prohibited and conditionally allowed for shipment. In each country, these lists can be supplemented or shortened. For example, matches, banknotes and securities cannot be sent to Moldova. Jewelry can only be sent in parcels with a declared value. Some products and items have volume restrictions: you can send in non-commercial shipment up to 2 kg of honey, 2 liters of wine, up to 200 cigarettes or cigars, and to import medicines you need permission from the Ministry of Health. You can find out a complete list of such items for Moldova at the post office or search the Internet.
Step 3
Pack all the components of the parcel so that they do not break or fall apart during transportation. Leave the box open: the postal officer can check the contents of the package.
Step 4
Fill out 5 copies of the CN 23 customs declaration. In it, you will need to indicate the surnames, names, patronymics of the addressee and addressee, the full addresses of the sender and recipient, the name, number and weight of items in the parcel, the nature of the shipment. If the shipment is commercial and its cost is more than $ 2,000, you will need to attach an invoice.
Step 5
Write the recipient's address on the box in Latin letters. The country name can be written as Moldova or Republic of Moldova. The Moldova index consists of the letters MD at the beginning, a hyphen and four digits. For example, the Chisinau index is MD-2001.
Step 6
After checking the correctness of the design, the postal worker will close and seal the box. You just have to pay for the postage. You can calculate the approximate cost in advance using the auto rate on the Russian Post website.
Step 7
To deliver the parcel faster, you can use the services of courier and transport companies. Usually the rates are higher, but there are also advantages. Parcels exceeding $ 200 are subject to customs duties. Some courier services have the status of a customs broker, which means that they will help the recipient to clear the parcel when it arrives in Moldova. Of course, this service is also not free.
