When choosing a voltage stabilizer for working with a BAXI heating boiler, it is necessary to take into account such technical characteristics of the device as smoothness of switching, reaction time, rated power and weight and dimensions.

Heating boilers BAXI include an automated control system, the operation of which requires connection to the power supply network. The heating boiler belongs to seasonal equipment, operated mainly in the winter season. During this period, the problem of voltage surges in the power grid is especially acute, therefore, the equipment of life support systems requires additional protection.

According to domestic standards, the deviation of the mains voltage from the nominal value of 220 V should not exceed 10%. Nevertheless, cases of non-compliance of the actual voltage value with the above standards are not uncommon. To ensure the operability of the BAXI boiler during voltage surges, the stabilizer must be designed for an input range of 150 V to 260 V.

When choosing a stabilizer for a BAXI boiler, you should pay attention to the following characteristics.

Reaction time

Inexpensive models of Chinese-made stabilizers provide a response time to a voltage drop of 1 s, while premium uninterruptible power supplies respond to a change in input voltage in 0.02 s. The shorter the reaction time, the less the likelihood of failure of the boiler automation.

Smooth switching

Relay stabilizers provide voltage adjustment with a certain step, which should not exceed 2.5 V. Thyristor devices are characterized by a high smooth transition and are optimal for operation as an uninterruptible power supply for a heating boiler.

Weight and dimensions

The geometric dimensions of various models of uninterruptible power supplies can differ by 2-3 times, depending on the manufacturer and the cost of the product. When installing a heating boiler in a separate room, the dimensions of the stabilizer do not play a big role, however, for BAXI wall-mounted boilers, installed mainly in the kitchen, the compactness and weight of the device matter.

Voltage measurement method

The measurement error of analog converters is higher than that of digital instruments. If the value of the measurement error exceeds the switching step, you should refrain from buying such a converter.

Rated power

The stabilizer for operation in tandem with the BAXI boiler must have a rated power corresponding to the power of the heater. The power values of the products should be indicated in the attached operational documentation.
