A good and high-quality varnish is not cheap today. You always want your favorite shade to last as long as possible. However, very often the varnish begins to thicken and dry out when the bottle is still half full. Incorrect storage is often to blame.
Necessary
- - box for varnishes;
- - thinner for varnish.
Instructions
Step 1
It is better to store varnishes in an upright position, in a closed place, excluding direct sunlight and temperature extremes. Screw the cap back on tightly after use. If you have a lot of varnishes, use a special stand or a translucent box, which can be purchased at professional cosmetics stores. These devices can be equipped with special holders or compartments for each bottle. Arrange your varnishes according to colors - from pastel to dark. This way you won't waste time looking for the right shade.
Step 2
Many people make a very common mistake that significantly shortens the life of the varnish. The main reason for drying is contact with oxygen when the bottle is open. It would seem that you paint your nails for only a few minutes, but this time is quite enough for the product to begin to dry out. Some brands, such as Chanel, provide their products with a double lid. A larger cap is used during direct use to cover the neck of the bottle. If the varnish does not have such a cap, use a cap from another cosmetic product.
Step 3
After use, be sure to check that there are no clots on the neck. Remove excess with a cotton pad soaked in nail polish remover. If they remain, the bottle will not close tightly, and the dried particles will later fall into the varnish itself.
Step 4
Shake the vials periodically. If there is a special stirring ball inside, the task is easier. Keep in mind that you should not shake the bottle of varnish strongly, or turn it over sharply: this forms bubbles in the varnish, which create a very unsightly appearance when applied. It is enough just to move the bottle between your palms.
