On September 5, Russian ornithologists launched the Flight of Hope project. Vladimir Vladimirovich found out and became interested in this program a long time ago, at the same time he found out that young birds are taught to fly with the help of a hang glider. To prepare for this event, Putin bought such a device with his own money a year and a half ago and began to learn to fly in the central part of Russia.

Vladimir Vladimirovich wanted to take part in the program to save the cranes last year, but he was late, since the chicks of these rare birds have already been born, and they need to accustom them to the sound of the apparatus even when they are in the egg. Therefore, the participation of the president in such an interesting case was postponed to 2012. The total flight time of the president on a motor hang-glider was seventeen hours, another eight hours of flights and Putin will be able to obtain a pilot's certificate.

The training itself gave Vladimir Vladimirovich really great pleasure and a huge amount of pleasant emotions. The President said that flying on a motor hang-glider can in no way be compared with the control of a fighter. Since in the first one there is an interesting and exciting sensation, adrenaline rushes through the blood, and everything looks very beautiful from a bird's eye view. The President recommends everyone to try flying on such a device.

Vladimir Putin took part in an experiment to save a rare species of cranes and led a flock of six birds during training flights as part of the unique Flight of Hope project. Birds that were bred in captivity are being prepared for an independent flight to Central Asia for wintering. Siberian Cranes will fly there under the leadership of the President of Russia and a remote glider pilot. In the future, the President's motor hang-glider will be handed over to scientists for work.
