It is difficult to overestimate the importance of a stapler for an office worker. Especially when it suddenly fails, and in front of you is a pile of unfinished pages. In this case, the stapler needs to be repaired.
It is necessary

- - small screwdriver;
- - pliers with tapered noses.
Instructions
Step 1
Take the stapler with both hands - one by the plastic case, the other by the metal part with staples and pull them in different directions until the case is removed. This will free up space for yourself to work.
Step 2
Remove all staples from the stapler. After that, you will see how many staples are stuck in the exit and interfere with the work of the stapler.
Step 3
Now use tweezers to try to remove the jammed staples. If it doesn't work, use a small screwdriver. Operate carefully, do not damage the mechanism, which consists of a spring and a striker. Do not stop until all staples are free.
Step 4
If you have a heavy duty stapler for joining heavy paper, cardstock, or photographs, the staples are slightly longer. They are, accordingly, more difficult to extract. In this case, release the stapler from the body.
Step 5
Next, carefully remove the spring. Most importantly, make sure it doesn't get lost. Note that in some staplers, the spring may rebound abruptly when the spring is disconnected.
Step 6
Use a pair of pliers to remove stuck staples. Never try to do this with your hands, otherwise you may get hurt. Powerful staplers have a rather sharp mechanism, so you need to be careful.
Step 7
If not, hit a hard surface with a stapler several times to loosen the staples inside. They may deform slightly and can be easily removed afterwards.
Step 8
Next, carefully slide the spring back into place.
Step 9
Put on the case. Your working tool is now in order.
