The need to find drinking water arises in a variety of cases, from choosing a place to build a well to a situation where finding water becomes a matter of life and death. Knowing how to find water will help you get out of a difficult situation with honor and, at the very least, save a lot of time and effort.
Instructions
Step 1
If you need to find a place to build a well, use dowsing, an ancient and very effective method. In the modern version, instead of a vine, dowsing frames are used - pieces of iron wire with a diameter of 2-3 mm bent with the letter "G". The length of the handle is 15 cm, the length of the part is 35 cm. This is just one of the options, in practice people use frames of various sizes and designs.
Step 2
First, teach the framework to respond appropriately to yes and no answers. Ask mentally the question: "Is it day?" If the answer is yes, the frames should converge. If not, they should go to the sides. After the framework begins to respond correctly to the questions, you can move on to finding water.
Step 3
Concentrate on finding water. Keep the frames parallel in front of you, without squeezing too much, and walk slowly across the area. At the point where you begin to cross the underground aquifer, the frames will converge. You can very accurately outline it, determine the depth of occurrence - for this, standing above the aquifer, mentally sort out the depth from one meter and deeper. When you get to the desired number, the frames will converge. You should know that the frames are just an indicator that makes your unconscious movements visible. With the help of the framework, you only bring the subconsciously perceived information to the visible level.
Step 4
In this way, you can search for water in an unfamiliar area - rivers, lakes, streams, springs … Holding the frames in front of you, mentally set the distance - for example, 1 km. Concentrate on finding water and start turning slowly. If there is a water source within a kilometer radius, the frames will converge when you face it. If the frames are not aligned, increase the scan radius. Finding water in unfamiliar areas is more difficult than finding water underground in a specific area, but this technique is quite learnable.
Step 5
If you find yourself in an unfamiliar place and you need to find water, look for the lowest places. On flat terrain along streams and small rivers, you can almost always observe thickets of bushes and trees. In the event that it was not possible to find an open source of water, pay attention to the spots of bright lush vegetation - in this place you should look for water. Dig a hole at the lowest point of the patch of vegetation. If the ground is wet, wait a little - water will gradually accumulate at the bottom of the hole.
Step 6
Pay attention to animal paths, they often lead to water. Keep an eye out for the circling birds. In mountainous areas, rainwater can accumulate in rocky cracks. If you are by the sea and the coast is steep, look for streams of fresh water at the foot of the cliff. If the shore is shallow, dig a hole about a hundred meters from the sea, water will seep into it. It will almost certainly be salty, but drinkable.
Step 7
On a hot day, water can be evaporated even from sun-calcined sand. Dig a hole about a meter in diameter in the lowest place, put a container in the center. Cover the pit with a piece of plastic wrap, sprinkle the edges with soil. Place a small pebble in the center. Evaporating water will condense on the film and drain into the container. You can collect 1-2 liters of water per day, depending on the moisture content of the soil.
