The administration of the famous Internet auction Ebay.com in August 2012 imposed a ban on the sale of magic goods and services on the site. Therefore, sellers with such a peculiar specialization will have to look for other sites to earn money.
Ebay sellers will no longer be able to sell predictions, fortune telling on cards, charged photos there. The prohibited list also includes magical services such as curses and love spells, items and money charged for luck, rituals, potions, drugs for love spells, etc. Even magic literature and tarot cards cannot be displayed in lots. Until now, sometimes very extravagant lots, up to human souls, were sold and bought at the auction site.
One of the main reasons for such a measure is that when providing magical services and selling occult goods, the auction cannot guarantee the expected result to the buyer and cannot assess whether the result was obtained in principle, i.e. the success of the transaction.
For example, if someone ordered a love spell, it is impossible to prove whether the seller of the service performed some actions or simply embezzled the money. Not to mention the questionable morality in many of these actions. Thus, the auction cannot protect the buyer from a dishonest seller and cannot resolve the dispute that has arisen. Meanwhile, the number of complaints is growing.
The administration of the site will delete all such sections of the goods after August 30, 2012. Sellers must sell the remnants of magic goods before September or remove them from the site. Otherwise, their accounts will be subject to blocking or deletion.
At the same time, Ebay itself loses a little. It is already one of the most expensive companies in the United States and one of the largest online auctions in the world. The range of products on display is already huge, and the corporation's net profit continues to grow.
Meanwhile, holy water did not fall under the ban, although someone classifies it as magical goods. As a result, the innovation caused a wave of indignation from sellers specializing in occult topics.
