Recently, a ban on the circulation of smoking mixtures came into force in Russia. Now their production, storage and distribution are punishable by the criminal code. However, in some countries, these drugs are still popular.
The use of smoking mixtures in Russia has become fashionable relatively recently. In 2007, the turnover of these drugs increased several dozen times. Multicolored bags were on the shelves of specialty stores, in tobacco kiosks, and even in regular supermarkets. Numerous online stores also offered a wide variety of smoking blends that people could purchase from the comfort of their homes. The use of smoking mixtures has become very important among young people. According to a sociological study carried out in a number of large cities, it turned out that ten percent of schoolchildren have tried these drugs at least once in their lives.
The smoking blend is made up of various ingredients that have been specially processed. Its components could be leaves, flowers, seeds, stems and roots of various plants. The mixtures were packaged in airtight bags of various colors. Many herbs in smoking mixtures are drugs. This is what allowed sellers to convince buyers of the harmlessness of this drug. Distributors of smoking mixtures promised consumers to cleanse the body, relax, get out of depression. However, scientific studies have shown that in the composition of smoking mixtures, there is the presence of toxic and psychotropic substances that cause addiction like a narcotic.
Any medical professional can say with confidence that smoking mixtures have a negative impact on human health. The fragrant smoke of these drugs can be of three types.
Firstly, local reactions are related to the harm of smoking mixtures. When using smoking mixtures, a person may experience coughing, tearing, and hoarseness. Smoke negatively affects the respiratory tract, up to inflammation of the mucous membrane. A person can get bronchitis, pharyngitis, or laryngitis. The risk of getting cancer of the larynx, pharynx or bronchi increases several times.
Secondly, smoking mixtures have a negative impact on central reactions. The effect of the smoking mixture on the central nervous system directly depends on the composition of the drug. The smoker's reactions are very diverse: unmotivated euphoria, unreasonable crying and laughter, loss of self-control and loss of coordination of movements. The most dangerous are destructive processes in the central nervous system, which can be followed by mental illness.
Thirdly, smoking mixtures often cause toxic reactions. Together with the smoking mixture, toxic substances enter the human body. They can cause arrhythmias, increased blood pressure, nausea, vomiting, seizures, and loss of consciousness. Due to this amount of harm from smoking mixtures, a law appeared to ban this drug.
