There is a simple technique that allows you to determine the leading hand in a person. The dominant hand is associated with the dominant hemisphere of the brain: in left-handers - the right, in right-handers - the left.
Drawing and object manipulation tasks
Draw a circle on the paper, ending with an arrow. It is important which direction your arrow will point in. If counterclockwise, this indicates a predominance of the left hemisphere and right-handedness. Clockwise, right hemisphere dominates and you are left-handed.
Draw a triangle and a square for each hand in turn. Rate the drawings. Whichever hand turned out faster and smoother, that hand and the leading one. Get a large box of markers or other items that can be placed vertically on a surface. Place an arbitrary number of these items in turn with both hands. If a larger number was delivered with your left hand, you have a dominant right hemisphere and you are left-handed. If you are right, your left hemisphere is leading and you are right-handed.
The fifth task is that you have to draw a straight vertical line and thus divide the sheet of paper in two halves. Your line will inevitably shift, no matter how steadily you mark. If the line is closer to the right edge, your left hemisphere dominates, you are left-handed. If to the left, your left hemisphere dominates, you are right-handed.
And another task - take a pencil in your hand so that it looks straight up. Stretch out your hand and look at him without looking up. Hold your gaze on the pencil, take turns covering each eye with your palm. If the pencil visually shifts when you close your right eye, the dominant hemisphere is left, you are right-handed. If he did this while closing the left, the dominant hemisphere is right, you are left-handed.
Body position assignments
The first task is to interlace the fingers of the right and left hands. See which finger is involuntarily on top. If it is the left thumb, the right hemisphere of the brain is dominant. Accordingly, you are left-handed. And vice versa, the thumb of the right hand turned out to be on top - you are right-handed, and your left hemisphere is leading.
Cross your legs in a sitting position. If the right leg is on top, the leading hemisphere is left, you are right-handed. If it is the left foot on top, you are left-handed and your right hemisphere is leading. Spin around in place, if you do it counterclockwise, your left hemisphere is dominant and you are right-handed. If you spin clockwise, your right brain is dominant and you are left-handed.
In the next task, you need to portray applause. In this case, one of the hands will also involuntarily appear on top. If the left, your right brain leads, you are left-handed. If your right brain is dominated by your left hemisphere, you are left-handed.
The fourth task is to reproduce the pose of Napoleon. To do this, put the hand of one hand on the forearm of the opposite one. If you involuntarily chose your left hand for this, placing it on your right forearm - your right hemisphere dominates, you are left-handed. If, on the contrary, you put your right hand on your left forearm, your left hemisphere dominates, you are right-handed.
