Many watches are battery operated. To replace it, you have to open the watch cover. This is not as easy as it seems. You can take the watch to the workshop, or you can try to cope on your own.
It is necessary
- - a knife with a sharp blade;
- - screwdriver;
- - magnifying glass.
Instructions
Step 1
Take the magnifying glass and examine the clock. You need to understand how the lid is attached. There are several options: simple snapping, fastening with a threaded ring, screwing on bolts. Place the watch on a flat surface such as a table. Place a towel underneath them. Wipe the watch cover and its joints with the case with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
Step 2
The cover, which is fastened with bolts, must be opened with a screwdriver. Unscrew the bolts. If they are too small, use a small utility knife with a sharp blade instead of a screwdriver. Unscrew the bolts in the following order: first, then the one opposite, and so on. When you remove the cover, you will most likely see a plastic O-ring. Do not lose it - it is better to put the bolts, lid and ring on a saucer.
Step 3
If the cover is secured with a threaded ring, look for special grooves that are made specifically for opening. Place a thin screwdriver in one of the grooves and rotate the ring counterclockwise. The ring should be spinning. When you release the cover from the ring, you will need to pick up a special tongue with a screwdriver, which is located at the arrow transfer lever. It must be carefully picked up with a screwdriver and pulled a little. The lid should open. If the watch has a cover that can be unscrewed completely, it also has special holes for rotation. Proceed in a similar way.
Step 4
The lid, which simply snaps into place, is opened with a knife. You need to find a recess on it, pick it up and carefully open it.
