On sale there is a huge selection of children's circles for swimming and playing on the water for every taste. These circles are bright and ornate, often in the form of animals or characters from popular cartoons. Modern circles are made of soft plastic, this material is not immune from damage and circles often break. But do not rush to throw away the broken circle - you can glue it yourself and it will still delight your child.
Necessary
- - material for making a patch;
- - scissors;
- - ball pen;
- - glue suitable for PVC (for example, "Second")
Instructions
Step 1
Find out the exact location of the damage to the circle. Inflate the circle and place it in the water. Air bubbles will come out of each hole. Mark these places - for example, circle with a ballpoint pen.
Step 2
Craft patches. They must be of the same material as the circle. Cut patches that are rectangular but with rounded corners. Size the patches so that they completely cover the damaged area.
Step 3
Degrease the points of contact between the surface of the circle and the patch using alcohol, acetone or thinner. This will promote better adhesion of the surfaces with the adhesive.
Step 4
Apply glue. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations. Typically, glue is applied both to the surface of the product being repaired and to the patch. The number of layers of glue also depends on the particular brand - sometimes it is enough to apply one layer of glue, and sometimes it is recommended to dry the first layer and reapply another one.
Step 5
Apply a patch to the circle being repaired. Using both hands, place it evenly on the damaged area. Do not wrinkle the surface of the circle or patch. Use your thumbs to smooth the patch, removing air from underneath.
Step 6
After repair, do not inflate the wheel for 1 hour, then the wheel should be inflated (not too tightly) and left for 24 hours for the glue to dry completely and to set the bonded surfaces. After that, the circle can be used.
