Step 1
Make a diagram of the walk-behind tractor, providing for the main components in its design: chassis, engine, transmission, working body and controls. The base of the walk-behind tractor will be a metal frame, which can be assembled from metal pipes, corners and steel strips, fastening the elements with bolts or by welding.
Step 2
Develop a kinematic diagram of the walk-behind tractor. It may include a countershaft fitted with two sprockets from the same motorcycle. For a larger walk-behind tractor, you may need chain stages from agricultural machines that have worked out their life.
Step 3
Pick up wheels for the walk-behind tractor. It is best to use wheels from agricultural machines, equipped with deep tread and dustproof bearings. For work on difficult terrain, you may need replacement wheels in the form of metal rims with hooks that can cling to hard surfaces. It is best if both wheels are driving.
Step 4
Weld your farm machine frame. Use for pipe trimming base and steel angle. In the front part, weld the struts on which the engine will be mounted. At the rear of the frame, install a swivel mechanism for attaching attachments.
Step 5
Give the handles of the walk-behind tractor to an elongated shape so that it is convenient to hold the device with your hands without bending over.
