When you see someone close to you on the road, the right words do not always come to mind. And since "a long farewell - extra tears", you often have to limit yourself to the usual "goodbye" and "bon voyage".

Step 1
To make the choice of parting words much easier, remember how good you were with the person who is about to set off on the road. The slight nostalgia that follows these memories will prompt you, at least, words of gratitude. Say thank you for specific events, conversations or actions, express your hope and desire to see this person again soon.
Step 2
If you know about the purpose of your departure, be sure to wish it to be implemented as soon as possible in a new place. Or, if a person has stayed with you for some time, and now he is just returning home, wish him a good journey and success in some specific business. In any case, you are not required to write a long tirade. Two or three sentences as a parting word will be more than enough.
Step 3
Formulate the parting words so that there is no denial. The point is that human consciousness does not perceive the "not" particle. Therefore, if you say something in the spirit of "Don't worry about this problem on the road," the person is likely to become more and more obsessed with it along the way. And the difference between "I wish you to get there without accidents" and "I wish you an easy road" is obvious.

In the Orthodox religion, it is customary to give live help on the road, an icon of a guardian angel, etc. The best blessing will be the reading of one of the prayers for travelers, for example, the troparion, the second voice: “This way and truth, Christ, the companion of Thy Angel is Thy servant now, like Tobiah sometimes, after she preserves, and unharmed, to Thy glory, from all evil in Observing all welfare, with the prayers of the Theotokos, the One Human-loving One. If you don’t know a single prayer, say “Lord bless” once.

Sometimes hugs can say better than any words about the most important thing. In them, you can express your sincere feelings. Hugs help you to feel mutual love or close inner connection, "tell" about gratitude, warm feelings that you are imbued with to each other, and also "wish" an easy road.
