Since ancient times, silver has been used to make jewelry and household items. Each housewife prides herself on having beautiful silver cutlery, but in order for them to always be in good condition, it is necessary to devote a little time and effort to caring for them.
Necessary
- - silver polishing cream;
- - sponge;
- - paper or cotton towels.
Instructions
Step 1
Before starting work, take a silver polishing cream, carefully read the instructions for it and try to comply with all the requirements specified in it.
Step 2
Prepare any silverware that needs to be polished and place them near the sink. Then spread cotton towels or paper so that you can spread the dishes on top of them.
Step 3
Rinse or wash each silver utensil with hot water to remove dust. Then, while the silver is still warm, dip a soft cloth or damp sponge into the polishing cream and quickly spread it over the entire surface of the item. Try to keep the cream layer even. Rub each area gently until the item starts to shine.
Step 4
If you need to polish silver plates and dishes, coat the inside with cream first, then move to a dimmer area. After that, apply an even layer of cream on the outer surface and repeat the procedure. Rinse the item with warm water so that there is no cream residue on it, and place it on a cotton towel.
Step 5
After the operations have been done, wipe the items with a cotton towel so that there are no streaks. Bring them outdoors and dry for several hours. Place the silver in the place where it is stored and make sure that parts of the objects do not touch, as they can scratch each other.
