To travel to the Czech Republic, Russian citizens must take care of getting a visa in advance. The Czech Republic is a member of the Schengen Union, and the documents required for a visa to this country are about the same as in any other that signed this agreement.
Instructions
Step 1
A foreign passport that will be valid for 3 months after the expiration of your requested visa. A prerequisite is the presence of two blank pages in the passport so that you can paste the visa. It is necessary to make a copy of the first page and attach to the documents.
Step 2
Visa application form completed in English or Czech. You can download the form from the consulate's website and print it, but be careful: printing on both sides is required. You can also come to the consulate yourself and ask for a form there. You can fill out the questionnaire either by hand in block letters or on a computer. Upon completion of filling, you must sign the document. Glue one 35 x 45 mm photo to the questionnaire, on which there are no corners or ovals. The photo must be taken against a light background.
Step 3
It is required to show confirmation of the purposes of stay in the Czech Republic. If you are traveling on a tourist visit, please attach your hotel reservation. You can use both vouchers from booking systems and faxes, and printouts from e-mail are accepted. The booking confirmation must contain all its details: the name and contact details of the hotel, its address, the full names of all tourists and the dates of stay at the hotel. In case you bought a tour, you need to attach a voucher from the agency or a contract for the purchase of the tour. Those traveling on a private or business trip must show an invitation from a private or legal person. Only original document is accepted, fax or printout will not work. Private invitations must be certified by the Czech Immigration Service.
Step 4
Financial guarantees, as which the Czech Republic accepts a statement from an account containing a sufficient amount for travel. You may also need a certificate from the job, which indicates the salary. It is better to prepare both documents, but it happens that only one of them is enough. Also, certificates in the form 2-NDFL or 3-NDFL, documents on registration and tax registration from individual entrepreneurs, traveller's checks are accepted. It is recommended to have funds on the account not less than 50 euros for each day of stay. Those who cannot pay for their trip on their own must attach a letter from the sponsor and financial guarantees in his name.
Step 5
Tickets to and from the country or confirmation of booking. You can attach a copy of the tickets if you purchased them, or a printout from the website where the purchase or booking was made. Those who drive a car must show the route to follow, a copy of the driver's license, as well as the insurance and registration certificate for the car.
Step 6
Medical insurance for Schengen countries, which is valid for the entire time of stay in the country. The amount of coverage must be at least € 30,000. You must attach a copy, but bring the original with you as well.
Step 7
Those who request a multiple entry visa must show documents for all other planned trips to the Czech Republic (hotel reservations and tickets to the country).
Step 8
You will also need to make a copy of two pages of the Russian passport: with personal information and a registration stamp.
