Greece is one of the most popular holiday destinations among Russian citizens. To obtain a Greek visa, you can apply at the consulate in Moscow, you can also do this at the visa departments of the consulates in Novorossiysk or St. Petersburg. In addition, there are many visa centers on the territory of Russia, which also accept visa applications.
Instructions
Step 1
Passport valid for at least 90 days from the end of the trip to the country. It is obligatory to have two blank sheets in order to be able to paste the visa and put the entry stamps. If you have an old passport with Schengen visas, then you can attach it too, having previously removed photocopies from the pages with personal data and visas.
Step 2
Photocopies of all pages of the internal passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation, which contain any information. Typically, pages with personal data, registration and marital status are required, as well as a page that lists all passports issued to a person. It is best to take your original passport with you when you go to apply.
Step 3
A visa application form completed in English and signed personally by the applicant. The application form can be downloaded on the Internet or taken directly from the visa application center or consulate of the country.
Step 4
Two photographs, size 3, 5 x 4, 5 cm, color, made on a light background and do not have corners or products. On the back of the cards, you need to write the passport number so that they are not lost.
Step 5
If you are traveling on your own, you should attach printouts from websites or faxes from hotels, confirming the fact of booking. Be sure to indicate all the details: names of tourists, dates of stay and details of the hotel itself. Sometimes they require the hotel to be prepaid at least 30%.
Step 6
For those who make a visa through a travel agency or bought a tour to the country, a voucher from an accredited travel company must be attached to the documents. It must be certified by the signature of the travel company manager, hotel and tour operator from the Greek side. You also need to write a letter of application asking for a visa. The form can be found on the website or at the consulate. Travel agencies can also help to draw up this document.
Step 7
Tourists traveling on a private visit to a Greek resident must show an invitation from the Greek side. You will also need a copy of the tax return from the inviting person. The invitation is valid for three months.
Step 8
Help from the place of work or study. The document must be issued no later than one month before the submission of the application. Be sure to make a certificate on the letterhead of the organization, indicate the position and salary of the applicant, as well as the address and telephone number of the organization. A certificate from work must be certified by the seal of the head and chief accountant, and from studies - by the signature of the school director or dean of the faculty. Pensioners need to attach their pension certificate.
Step 9
Sealed bank statement. Checks from ATMs are not accepted.
Step 10
If the applicant himself is not able to pay for his trip, he needs to attach a letter from the sponsor to the documents, which indicates that he agrees to pay all his expenses. Only a close relative can be a sponsor.
Step 11
Medical insurance policy valid throughout the Schengen countries. The amount of coverage must be at least 30 thousand euros.
Step 12
A copy of the tickets to the country and back, in case of booking on the website - a printout from it. If you are traveling by car, then you need to attach a copy of the registration certificate and international Green Card insurance. You will also need to show your driver's license.
