What is a bidet?

A bidet is a small sink or bathtub that is supplied with hot and cold water. The bidet is equipped with a special device, which gives a water lamp from the wall, which allows you to replace the toilet paper.

With the help of a special mixer in this plumbing device, it is possible to adjust the temperature that is comfortable for use.

In economically developed countries where there is a warm climate - Spain, Italy, Greece, France, Latin America - such a device, along with the usual toilet bowl, is a common piece of plumbing in the toilet or in the bathroom. Recently, however, bidets are increasingly being purchased by residents of Russia.

How to use the bidet correctly?

The bidet should be used after completing the natural needs on the toilet. There is a widespread belief that you need to sit on such a plumbing fixture facing the mixer, but this is a matter of taste. Therefore, you can sit on the bidet as you like. Using this device is more hygienic than using toilet paper, although it does touch the hands to the genitals and anus. In addition, the use of the bidet is possible even after using toilet paper.

Today bidets are no longer considered a luxury item or exotic.

It is important to keep in mind that a bidet does not replace a bath or shower at all. But its use reduces the need to wash the whole body, thereby reducing water costs.

The main purpose of this sanitary ware is to keep the external genitalia, ansus and surrounding skin areas clean. Nevertheless, the rules of operation of the bidet are quite possible to use it for washing other parts of the body. For example, in this device it is quite convenient to wash your feet.

For the elderly, as well as for people with reduced mobility, the bidet is an excellent solution for maintaining hygiene. Such an unpleasant disease as hemorrhoids, when using toilet paper, is accompanied by painful sensations, and therefore, in this case, the presence of a bidet in the house will be very useful.

Varieties of bidet

There are many designs and shapes of bidets. The simplest and most common option is a faience tank, which is filled with water through a mixer. If necessary, the drain hole can be closed with a plug. Water is supplied in such a device from the bottom up from the nozzle. In some more expensive bidet models, due to the rotation of the nozzle head, it is possible to change the direction of the water jet.

In addition to the classic models, there are devices combined with a toilet bowl. These are modern high-tech toilets with built-in bidet capabilities. Such a plumbing device has an electronic handpiece control unit. As a rule, there are two such tips - one is longer and the other is shorter. The one that is shorter is suitable for both women and men. In turn, a longer tip is intended for women, since it is maximally adapted to their body structure.

If you decide to buy a bidet, it is better to give preference to the most famous and time-tested brands. Then you can be guaranteed to get the cleanliness and comfort of a quality product that meets the needs of all members of your family.
