A foreigner can stay in the Russian Federation, having issued not only a residence permit, but also a temporary residence permit. This is a special document required for certain categories of foreign citizens. But to get it, you need to fill out a special application, which is then sent to the Federal Migration Service. How to write the application correctly?

Step 1
Decide if you are eligible to apply for such a permit. It is provided for foreigners who do not yet have a permanent residence permit. However, they may or may not have a visa in accordance with the visa regime adopted between their home country and Russia. Such a permit is not issued for citizens arriving on a tourist visa.
Step 2
If you belong to the category of people. Those who need to obtain a temporary permit, download the application form from the official website of the Federal Migration Service (FMS). To do this, go from the main page to the section "Registration of documents", in it select the item "Temporary residence permit". You will see detailed instructions on how to obtain it. At the bottom of the page you will find an application form. Download it to your computer and print in duplicate.
Step 3
Fill out the application. Indicate in it the name of your local FMS body where the application is submitted, for example, "FMS of the Central District of Novosibirsk." Also indicate the reasons why you want to get permission - marriage with a Russian citizen, work, study, other reasons. Write in the appropriate fields your last name, first name and patronymic (if any) in Russian and Latin transcription in accordance with your passport. Also indicate citizenship, number of your identity document, profession and education. In the appropriate tables, fill in the information of your closest relatives - wife, husband, children, parents, sisters and brothers, and do not forget to indicate information about places of work and study for the last five years.
Step 4
Answer questions related to criminal records and administrative offenses, as well as your health. It is important to fill out this section correctly - if you hide any facts, you may be denied the right to live in Russia. If your relatives want to get the opportunity to live in Russia with you, indicate their coordinates in the application form additionally.
Step 5
Date and signature on the completed questionnaire. There should be a few empty fields in the application. They are specially marked as reserved for the FMS employee and are filled in by them the moment you apply.
