The causes of an accident can be very diverse, but there are general rules of behavior during a crash of any transport. If you follow them strictly, the risk of a tragic outcome will be significantly reduced.

Step 1
If you are on the train, try to take the safest seat - the compartment in the central carriage, in which the emergency exit is close to you. Find out in advance where the fire extinguishers and emergency exits are. When driving, do not stand on the steps, look out of windows, or open outside doors.
Step 2
Stow your luggage neatly in the space provided. Do not transport explosive, flammable or chemical substances. If you smell gas or burnt rubber, notify the handler or crew members immediately. Smoking is allowed only in the designated area. Do not connect household appliances that are not provided for by the rules into the transport network.
Step 3
Fasten your seat belt or grab any stable object during an accident. Do not relax until the crash is over - there may be several aftershocks. Then try to find an emergency exit. Take with you the most necessary things: documents, money, food and water, clothes.
Step 4
If for some reason the emergency exit is not available, use a heavy object to break the window closest to you. Watch out for debris.
Step 5
In the event of a fire, dampen any rag and cover your nose and mouth with it. Close the windows and go to the exit, closing the doors behind you on the way so that the fire does not spread.
Step 6
Avoid the wires and get away from them with short steps or jumps as soon as possible - this will reduce the danger. Remember: electric current travels along the ground at a distance of 20-30 meters. Try to help the victims, follow the orders of the crew commander.
Step 7
Move as far as possible from the crash site - there is a high probability of a strong explosion. Do not lose sight of the accident site, rescuers will arrive there. Do not go out on the road and level crossings at red lights. Stay close to the rest of the passengers and crew. Follow all instructions of the rescuers carefully.
