On May 7, 2012, in Moscow, in the Kremlin, an important political event took place - the inauguration ceremony of the elected President Vladimir Putin, for whose candidacy the majority of Russians voted. This year Vladimir Vladimirovich became the head of state for the third time.
The main feature of this presidential term is that the head of state will govern the country not for four years, as before, but for six.
Almost three thousand people were invited to the inauguration ceremony: State Duma deputies, members of the government of the Russian Federation, the Federation Council, representatives of federal authorities, election headquarters, judges of the Constitutional Court. Traditionally, Dmitry Medvedev was the first to arrive in the Kremlin, leaving his post as head of state. At the Cathedral Square he was met by the Presidential Regiment. Exactly at noon, under the chimes, the elected president entered the St. George Hall.
Having passed three halls of the Kremlin, Putin entered the Alexandria Hall, where the speakers of the parliament, the chairman of the Constitutional Court, Dmitry Medvedev, the current head of state, have already gathered. In his last speech as president, he summed up the results of his work, thanked everyone for their fruitful work and wished Vladimir Putin success for the good of the Fatherland.
The solemn moment is the taking of the oath. After that, Vladimir Zorkin, Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation, announced that Vladimir Putin had assumed the office of President of the Russian Federation. From that moment on, he is a full-fledged head of state. And it was here that he delivered his first presidential speech.
The ceremony continued with a festive volley of guns and the passage of the Cavalry escort of the presidential regiment on Cathedral Square. Accepting numerous congratulations from the participants of an important event for the country, the president and his wife went to a parting prayer service at the Cathedral of the Annunciation. A little later, a nuclear briefcase was handed over to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. But this is after the end of the inauguration ceremony.
