By themselves, bedbugs are not dangerous insects, the bite of which would be harmful to human health or life, but the causative agents of various diseases can be found in the body of bedbugs: typhoid, plague, Q fever, Chagas disease, hepatitis B and some others. This is due to the fact that some species of bedbugs are blood-sucking insects and, passing from one animal or person to another, carry the infection.

It is safe to say that bedbug bites cause a lot of inconvenience: they cause severe itching, redness, and burning. However, this is the most harmless of the consequences of a bite. A person may be allergic to bug bites, which in turn can lead to anaphylactic shock (acute allergic reaction), which in some cases is fatal.

When scratching a bite, a wound or abscess forms, through which an infection can enter the body. Therefore, it must be remembered that it is often not even the bite itself that is dangerous, but scratching the bite site.

In the body of a bug, pathogens of diseases transmitted through the blood, which are difficult to treat, can live for a long time. Even the excrement of bedbugs is dangerous, in which, as scientists have proven, the hepatitis B virus can persist for a long time.

Another less dangerous, but no less unpleasant consequence of the appearance of bedbugs in the house is a deterioration in sleep. How can you sleep peacefully knowing that there are bugs in the apartment? In addition to this, the biting insect inevitably worries its victim, because it does not one bite, but several at once. However, it must be said that most people may not even feel the bite itself, since the saliva of the bug contains an anesthetic.
