The pursuit of health and longevity is one of the basic human values at the subconscious level. Due to them, a person is fighting for survival. But, nevertheless, the average life expectancy in modern society is shrinking. So why do people live so little?
There are a wide range of reasons leading to a decrease in human life expectancy. Some of them depend on the person himself, on his lifestyle, and some do not. Among the objective factors, the spoiled ecology stands out. A person cannot always choose the most ecologically clean area as his place of residence. Moreover, there are practically no such corners on planet Earth. Poor ecology is the reverse side of industrial progress and other anthropogenic human impact on natural systems. But more often than not, people themselves shorten their lives. First of all, harmful habits are harmful to health and longevity: alcoholism, smoking, drug addiction. Frequent physical and psychological overload, stress, insufficient sleep also exhaust the human body ahead of time. Unhealthy food, lack of diet are important factors leading to early death. Physical inactivity (lack of physical activity) also shortens life. According to statistics, men die earlier than women. As a rule, the causes of early male deaths are diseases of the cardiovascular system. Psychologists believe that this is due to the characteristics of male emotionality. The stronger sex tries to keep all their experiences inside, shedding a tear for most men is humiliating. The stress that accumulates in the male body for years does not come out, therefore early heart disorders are not excluded. In addition, early male mortality often occurs due to the involvement of men in certain criminal cases. Women, on the other hand, rarely associate their lives with crime and are not shy about their emotional manifestations, so they often live longer than men. Every person, regardless of gender, should make sufficient efforts to improve their health and longevity.
