We rarely write traditional paper letters to acquaintances living abroad. More often we correspond with the help of e-mail, we even send photographs over the Internet. However, sometimes you want to feel the energy of a person, to see his handwriting. And in and of itself, the expectation of an answer, the anticipation of reading, is wonderful. You open a mailbox, and there instead of bills and advertisements - a letter! It will also be remembered. By the way, sending such a letter abroad is not difficult at all.
It is necessary
Sheet of paper, pen, envelope, stamps
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare for forwarding a letter, photographs, newspapers, maps and other things that need to be delivered to the addressee. Find out the exact address and be sure to write down the zip code. Go to the nearest post office in Russia. Show the sizes of the papers to be sent. Purchase an envelope of the appropriate size.
Step 2
Write the addresses and zip codes of the recipient and sender on the envelope. According to the rules for international mail sent abroad from Russia, the address is written in Latin letters and Arabic numerals. The order of writing is adopted as follows: first comes the name of the addressee (surname, name). Then - the apartment number, house and street name. The next line is the name of the settlement and the state (province). And finally, the country and the postal code are written.
Step 3
Include everything you send in an envelope. Seal the envelope.
Step 4
Find out in which window of the post office letters are sent abroad. Explain to the postal worker where you need to send the letter. Purchase the required number of stamps for the envelope. Stick them on the envelope, or have a postal worker do it.
Step 5
Ask to weigh the sealed envelope if you are sending any attachments in addition to the sheets of text. If the weight of the postal item exceeds the standard for a regular letter (20 g), purchase additional stamps depending on the excess. Stick them on the envelope.
Step 6
Drop the letter into the mailbox for foreign correspondence or give it to the postal worker - he will send it himself.
Step 7
Send not a simple letter, but a certified or registered letter with a notification. The last good thing is that when the envelope reaches its destination, you will be notified by mail about it. However, modern means of communication allow you to find out about receiving a letter in another way, for example, by phone directly from the recipient.
Step 8
Send a letter through special intermediary sites if you do not want to visit the mail. Send the text typed on the computer and pay for the service. True, such a letter differs little from an electronic one, its cost is slightly higher than postage, as a result, nothing is guaranteed.
Step 9
Send your message via express mail service. The letter will arrive quickly or at the exact time you specified. But this shipment is significantly more expensive than all other options.
