The semiautomatic welding machine is very popular, since during the operation of such an apparatus, the welding current density is an order of magnitude higher than with automatic welding. For optimal performance of this unit, you need to set it up correctly.
Instructions
Step 1
Based on the thickness of the parts, select the strength of the welding current and the corresponding feed speed of the special welding wire. To do this, use the table provided in the instructions for use of this device.
Step 2
In order to set the required wire feed speed, select and install the required replacement gears in the mechanism that provides wire feed. In this case, depending on the type of welding machine, use a table or a special speed box.
Step 3
Then use the adjusting devices to set the power source (DC machine or welding transformer) to the required current and voltage. They can be tested on experimental weld surfacing, and if necessary, adjust the welding mode to the optimal one. If the mode is set correctly, you will have stable arc burning, normal bead formation and the required amount of molten flux.
Step 4
The welding wire goes through a special hose to or from the mouthpiece, depending on the position of the switch located on the hardware box. Set the switch to the "Forward" position, the wire will move towards the holder to the welding point. Set the position "Back", the wire will feed towards the spool. Set the required mode.
Step 5
To start work, fill the funnel with flux, turn the switch to the "Forward" position. Install the holder so that the tip of the mouthpiece is located directly above the weld. Open the shutter of the flux funnel and press the start button. At the same time, make a slight movement of the holder along the weld. With this movement, the arc is struck and the welding process itself begins.
