Due to the peculiarities of modern terrorism, almost no one can be completely protected from the risk of being taken hostage. Therefore, every citizen needs to know how to behave in such a critical situation.
Instructions
Step 1
At the time of the terrorists' attack and their attempts to take hostages, try to hide, and if possible, run away. At the same time, it is important that there are no armed people directly next to you who can stop your escape. It is at this moment that the hostage has the best chance of being released. If you fail to escape during the capture, do not try to do it later - this threatens a serious danger not only to you, but also to other hostages.
Step 2
During the course of negotiations for release, fulfill all the requirements of the terrorists. Try not to come into contact with them unnecessarily - this can cause aggression. If possible, behave as calmly as possible, do not try to cry and beg. Emotional behavior can further irritate invaders. Use them only when you need them, for example, to get access to food, water or medicine.
Step 3
If movement is prohibited, try to keep your muscles in good shape with stretching and gentle warm-ups in place. Try to stay away from windows - police officers may enter through them during the release operation, and you may be hit by shards of glass.
Step 4
Try to memorize as many details as possible about the terrorists. Even if their faces are closed, they can be identified by speech defects, accent, specific gait. Such details will be very useful to the police after your release.
Step 5
When storming a building by the police or army, do not take independent action. Do not try to take possession of the weapon, even if the terrorist has lost it - you may be mistaken for a criminal. Do not try to escape without the command of a police officer, as the building may be mined. Trust the specialists who will do everything for your release.
