Social change is one of the most commonly used concepts in modern sociology. Such changes are understood as changes in society concerning any area of life and development of society - culture, behavior, moral principles, etc.
Social change is independent of the size of the group in which it occurs. Depending on the size and importance of these groups, the micro and macro levels of such changes are distinguished. Similar processes can be observed in the family, school, organization, political party. Social changes show the dynamics of the development of society as clearly as possible - after all, they are the end result of the interaction of different social strata.
Social change cannot be short-lived. Changes in the life of society, the worldview of the subjects of sociology should be constant and lead to any consequences. They do not happen on their own; certain motivating factors must be present. Among them are:
-inventions and discoveries. Technological progress rather strongly stimulates people to self-improvement and development;
- the number of interethnic marriages increasing every year. The process of different countries;
-conflicts. An argument is the best way to prove to another person that his worldview is outdated and it is time to change his views to more modern ones.
Social development is the result of positive social change. Any progress in the development of society and its strata can be considered as such. In sociology, there is a clear classification of levels of social development. The first is the international level (also called global), the consequences of which are migration processes, urbanization, and the signing of international agreements. The division of society into opposing layers is also a kind of development of society - at the level of a social group. A change in the outlook of a particular person occurs at the level of interpersonal relations.
