Russia is the only country in the world located in nine time zones. Therefore, when it is nine in the morning in Kaliningrad, it is already seven in the evening in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
Instructions
Step 1
Until 2011, the territory of the Russian Federation was divided into eleven time zones. But their number was reduced to nine, according to a government decree dated August 31, 2011. This was due to the large time difference between the cities of the same country. So, in Yakutia, which is located in three time zones, the time became the same, and the Samara region switched to Moscow time.
Step 2
Each time zone is endowed with its own name and time relative to Moscow.
Kaliningrad time - MSK-1. When it is noon in Moscow, it is still eleven o'clock in the morning in Kaliningrad and its region.
Step 3
Moscow time (MSK) is set by the local time in Russia, relative to which the countdown is carried out in all time zones of the country. This time zone is valid for all European cities of the Russian Federation, such as Arkhangelsk, Volgograd, Grozny, Kirov, Kazan, Novgorod, Penza, St. Petersburg, Tula and many others.
Step 4
Yekaterinburg time
In Yekaterinburg, Sverdlovsk, Tyumen and Orenburg regions there are always two hours more than in Moscow (MSK + 2). Also, by this time, residents in the Perm Territory, in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug and in the Republic of Bashkortostan are guided.
Step 5
Omsk time covers Omsk, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Kemerovo regions and Altai Territory. Plus three hours Moscow time.
Step 6
Krasnoyarsk time
Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Republic of Tyva and Khakassia are located in the same time zone, and the time difference with Moscow is four hours (MSK + 4).
Step 7
Irkutsk time
Plus five hours before Moscow time - in this time zone the Irkutsk region and the Republic of Buryatia are located.
Step 8
When it’s six in the morning in Yakutsk, Chita and Blagoveshchensk, it’s only midnight in Moscow. The time difference is six hours. This belt also includes the entire territory of Yakutsk, the Sakha Republic, the Trans-Baikal Territory and the Amur Region.
Step 9
Vladivostok time differs from Moscow time by seven o'clock. The following regions are located in this time zone: Khabarovsk, Primorsky Krai, Sakhalin Oblast and the Jewish Autonomous Oblast.
Step 10
Magadan time differs from Moscow time by eight hours. This zone also includes the Kamchatka Territory, Sakhalin and Magadan Regions, as well as the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug.
