An absent-minded customer who has lost a check may well return the purchase back to the store. For example, if the thing did not fit in size or you just don’t like it. The main thing is to have time to refuse an unnecessary purchase within two weeks. It is also advisable to study the 25th article of the law "On the protection of consumer rights." Not all sellers are willing to meet the client halfway - often it is possible to return the goods without a receipt only by showing persistence.
Instructions
Step 1
Study the decrees of the Government of the Russian Federation of 20.10.1998 №1222 and 02.02.2002 №81. They contain a list of goods that cannot be returned back to the seller due to "did not fit". It has 14 points. Among them are medicines, linen, toothbrushes, jewelry and cars.
Step 2
If your purchase is not included in this list, feel free to return to the store. Take your passport with you. There is no clause in the law obliging to present this document to the seller. But in practice, one cannot do without a passport. The tax office requires that the buyer's data be indicated in accounting transactions for the return of goods.
Step 3
Next, you need to write a statement about the loss of the check in the name of the seller. After that, the seller must remove the cash register, look at the receipt tape, which made its way on the day of your purchase, and find out your check number. Then write you a sales receipt retroactively. On the basis of this, you will return the unnecessary purchase.
Step 4
If the seller assures that the goods were not purchased in his store and categorically refuses to accept the application, bring a witness. This option is possible if you were shopping in the company of a friend. If you have been shopping alone, prepare evidence. They can be a branded package of a store, labels, price tags with a store's logos.
Step 5
If the words of the witness do not work on the seller, you can go to court. And already this instance will evaluate the testimony of witnesses and all the "evidence" you have collected.
