Instructions

Step 1

Diesel fuel is classified as a flammable product, therefore special requirements are imposed on its transportation. There are rules for the transportation of dangerous goods: Orders of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation of 1999-11-06 N 37 and of 1999-14-10 N 77, Resolution of the Gosgortekhnadzor of the Russian Federation of 08/16/94 N 50, in which it is clearly stated by whom, in what volume, on what transport, using which identification marks must be carried out transportation of petroleum products and diesel fuel.

Step 2

These documents apply only to individual entrepreneurs and carrier organizations. For citizens using personal light vehicles, there are also transportation rules: clause 23.5 of the SDA. In accordance with them, one transport unit is allowed to transport in portable containers no more than 60 liters of fuel. They must be fixed in such a way that any movement of them horizontally and vertically is excluded. For trucks with a carrying capacity of up to 3.5 tons, the permitted mass of diesel fuel for transportation is 850 kg.

Step 3

The transportation process in large volumes is carried out by fuel trucks and rail tank cars. It consists of three stages: loading, delivery, emptying at the place of arrival. Regardless of the period of the year the diesel fuel is transported, the requirements for the condition of the containers are the same. Filling the tanks with diesel fuel is possible only if this type of fuel was previously transported in it, and not other oil products. When filling the fuel tanker (tank), a special grounding device must be connected, which will prevent a fire from an accidental spark.

Step 4

The container should have a vapor and oil resistant coating and a system of valves to ensure a stable pressure inside it. To dissipate static electricity, a metal chain is attached to the rear of the tank and must reach the ground. The body is painted orange or red and the inscription “flammable” is made. The vehicle must have special signs informing about the carriage of dangerous goods on it.

Step 5

Special requirements apply to the condition of vehicles: they must be no older than 15 years old and equipped with ABS. The brake system of the fuel tanker must be durable, and the wiring must be protected. Drivers with extensive experience in driving trucks are allowed to transport diesel fuel. Before each trip, they are required to undergo special instructions.
