Prerequisites for the emergence
The first devices for having sex appeared before our era. Archaeologists have found many dildos made of bronze, bone, wood and jade in the excavations. Of course, such products were not cheap, and they became available only to the wives of rich nobles or wealthy getters. Dildos are widely used in lesbian games and famous Roman orgies. The appearance of the first vibrators
With the advent of Christianity, antique debauchery was forgotten. It was forbidden even to think about sexual pleasure - and this went on for many centuries. Unhappy women used improvised items - cucumbers, corn cobs, candles, but this did not help much. Many women suffered from sexual dissatisfaction, which manifested itself in tantrums, irritability and insomnia.
At first, such "patients" were considered possessed and burned at the stake of the Holy Inquisition. Later, society became wiser, medicine developed, and doctors concluded that the reason for everything was stagnation of blood. They suggested giving women a therapeutic massage in the vaginal area - a place where female energy accumulates. To everyone's surprise, the method was successful, and many patients began to dream of a second visit to the doctor. The doctors' hands quickly got tired of such an influx of sufferers, and to alleviate their fate, the first vibrator working with steam was invented. It happened in 1869, and George Taylor became the inventor.
The first vibrator was huge, the size of a closet, and made a deafening noise during operation. Despite this, the invention was a huge success. However, it was not possible to put the case on stream due to the high cost of production. Taylor's idea was taken up by other inventors - in 1880, the first portable vibrator appeared that worked on batteries. The device was invented by Joseph Granville. And at the beginning of the 20th century, these devices could already be bought in a regular store. Interestingly, vibrators have long been considered a purely medical device that relieves headaches, fatigue and depression.
The first vibrators were produced in several variations: home, portable, chair-mounted, floor-mounted and ceiling-mounted.
Modern vibrators
Now no one denies that vibrators are purchased for sensual pleasure. Manufacturers do not cease to fight for buyers, releasing devices of various shapes, sizes and colors, with antennae, spikes and rings.
