Step 1
It is not difficult to change the color of living plants. If roses grow in your area, you can turn their flowers green. To do this, plant a spiny bush covered with small berries next to a rosebush. When the shark grows up, split one of its stems and thread the stem of the rose through the hole you have. Tie the joint tightly with hemp to prevent air from entering. When fresh shoots appear on the captive stem of the rose, the split can be removed and wait for the green buds to open. If you plant awning grass next to a rose and carry out similar manipulations, the flowers will turn yellow.
Step 2
The color of the hydrangea depends on the acidity of the soil. If you want the plant to become covered with pink inflorescences, water it with a weak solution of potassium permanganate every two weeks. To make the hydrangea blue, add three grams of aluminum alum to the watering water per liter of water. A similar effect can be achieved by sticking a few rusted nails into the ground next to the bush. Also in the store you can buy ready-made fertilizers that will change the color of the hydrangea.
Step 3
You can also change the color of cut flowers. For example, you can present to someone a gorgeous bouquet made of colorful roses. You will need food coloring for your experiment. Add the dye to the water and place the flowers in it, cutting their stems at a 45-degree angle. You can also put a sugar cube in the water to consolidate the result. If you keep the plants in water for 5-6 hours, the tips of the petals will be colored, which also looks very original, but in order for the bud to completely change its color, the rose must be left in water with a dye for a day. After the flowers have reached the desired color intensity, cut the stems and place the roses in clean water.
