Shooting amateur films is a popular hobby, since even professional video equipment is now available to many. But even a novice filmmaker may need a variety of props, including a smoke bomb. You can do it yourself, but this work requires caution.
There are several ways how to make a smoke bomb. It all depends on what kind of raw materials you have at your fingertips. However, there is nothing in short supply among the necessary components; everything can be bought at a pharmacy or a hardware store. Keep in mind that in any case, the smoke is quite pungent, so shooting the episode with a smoke bomb will have to be done outdoors.
You can make a smoke bomb from hydroperite and analgin. These are affordable and fairly cheap drugs, they will be sold in the pharmacy without a prescription. The ratio of the components is 1: 1. Crush hydroperite tablets in a mortar, pour them into a paper cup or cardboard tube. Rub the analgin, pour into the same container. Stir the ingredients. The reaction takes place at the temperature of the human body, so it is undesirable to hold the glass in your hands for a long time. It is best to build something like a barbecue with a small fire in the place where the smoke should come from, put a container there and move a sufficient distance.
You can also make a smoke bomb from match heads, potassium permanganate and activated carbon. The first component can even be bought at the grocery store, the other two at the pharmacy. Potassium permanganate is needed in powder, activated carbon - in tablets. For work, you also need a mortar, a small plastic container (for example, an egg from a kinder surprise, in the lid of which you need to make a hole for a wick). For 2 sachets of potassium permanganate, you will need 10 tablets of activated carbon and 2 standard boxes of matches.
Pound tablets of activated carbon in a mortar, pour into a container. Pour potassium permanganate there. From matches, you only need heads. Scrape them off and pour them into a container too. Insert the wick. It's just a thick cord, one end of which goes deeper into the composition, and the other is set on fire. The wick should not burn very quickly. Put the smoke bomb in the right place, light the wick and quickly move about five meters away.
Remember that fire safety rules must be followed when using a smoke bomb. You should not set it on fire near wooden structures, as well as in the forest under low overhanging branches. An enclosed space is even less suitable. The most suitable place for such experiments is a vacant lot or a field. People should also be at a fairly large distance. In addition to causing injury from a failed explosion, the smoke generated in both cases can trigger a coughing fit.
