Step 1
First of all, make a thorough visual inspection of the room or the interior of the car. Take a close look at building structures, communications, stationery and furniture from all angles. Pay attention to the presence of special signs inherent in stowing devices (bugs), which are holes, microphones, antennas, wiring, etc. Disassemble pieces of furniture, communications and various equipment for a more thorough examination.
Step 2
Survey the room for tracking devices using a non-linear locator. This is a special device that irradiates semiconductor materials with a high frequency radio signal. They, in turn, convert the signal frequency to multiple harmonics and re-emit the signal into space. Non-linear locator allows you to find devices that are disconnected and not receiving power; remote control bugs in standby mode; as well as those of them that have increased secrecy of work.
Step 3
However, a nonlinear locator will not be able to detect bugs that do not contain semiconductor elements, which have the property of emitting a converted radio signal. In this case, a search device will help, the method of which is based on the operation of a metal detector. Of course, it is suitable for examining non-metallic objects such as wood and plastic furniture, brick walls and stone structures.
Step 4
Using a portable X-ray inspection system in the search for bugs, you can illuminate a layer of concrete up to one meter thick and a two-meter layer of steel. With the help of a portable X-ray machine, you can take photographs of units and equipment. They are further compared with snapshots of the standard view of the internal structure of the equipment. If there is a difference, the hardware contains a bug.
Step 5
You can also use a scanner. This device scans radio broadcasts in a wide radio frequency range. To distinguish the signal among the background noise, it is necessary to examine every corner of the room, distinguishing the source of the radio signal. This will only be possible from a very close distance from the source.
Step 6
Use a telephone line analyzer to identify a listening device on your phone. It is designed as a socket. This device detects the presence of a wiretapping, which is indicated by the LED indicators. In addition, the analyzer, by filtering the signal, protects the line from eavesdropping.
