Zippo lighters have long since moved from the category of application devices to the category of cult accessories. Therefore, it is important to follow certain rules when performing even the daily maintenance tasks of the lighter.
Instructions
Step 2
Please note that the recommended fuel for all Zippo lighter models is Zippo Lighter Fluid. Do not use cheap substitutes and fakes - they can damage the lighter and lead to the loss of its performance!
Step 4
Be careful to avoid getting gasoline on your hands. This can irritate the skin. If this does happen, wash your hands thoroughly with soapy water.
Step 5
After filling the chamber, return the felt pad to its original position and insert the lighter body into the metal shell. Use a dry cloth to wipe down all the parts of the lighter, the can containing the Zippo Lighter Fluid, and wash your hands.
Step 6
Make sure there are no drops of fuel left at the refueling point - the gasoline used by Zippo is highly flammable. Try lighting a lighter. When properly charged, the flame should be stable.
Step 7
For some time after refueling the Zippo, try to carry the lighter in your pocket or case upright without turning it over. The fact is that the fuel used by Zippo is natural, and therefore is quite susceptible to evaporation.
Step 8
Try to refuel your lighter every time before a long trip, or better - take a can of Zippo Lighter Fluid with you.
