Necessary

  • - computer;
  • - access to the Internet.

Instructions

Step 1

Open the window for setting the date and time on your computer by double-clicking on the clock located in the lower right corner of your desktop.

Step 2

In the window that appears, set the correct year and month using the drop-down lists of the "Date and Time" tab. This tab can be opened in the settings window. Select today's date in the table of days of the week by clicking on it with the left mouse button.

Step 3

In the time setting field, highlight the minutes in the right section ("Time") of this tab. Set the exact number of minutes using the navigation keys (up and down arrows). You can also enter the numbers you want using the keyboard or click the arrows to the right of the input field. Set the correct number of seconds and hours in the same way.

Step 4

In the main window of the program, go to the "Time zone" tab, then select the time zone of your region in the drop-down list.

Step 5

If your computer is a member of a domain in the local network, its clock can be synchronized with the time of the server of this domain. Then the Internet Time tab will be unavailable in the settings panel of the date and time properties. If the tab is available, click it to synchronize the computer clock with the server time.

Step 6

Make a mark at the top edge of the tab (in the corresponding checkbox), and in the drop-down list select an available time server. If the address you want is not in the list, you can enter it manually using the keyboard.

Step 7

Click the "Update Now" button, while the computer must be connected to the Internet. The clock will be synchronized immediately. Commit the changes made in the settings of the date and time properties by clicking the OK button.

Step 8

If the clock, despite the settings made, after some time or when the computer is turned on again shows the wrong time, change the battery on the motherboard.
