A balloon is a toy that is an indispensable attribute of any holiday. The first rubber balls were created in the 19th century as a tool for conducting experiments with hydrogen. They were first used as toys in 1847. Modern production of balls is a complex technological process that requires special high-precision equipment.
Instructions
Step 1
The material for the production of balloons is liquid rubber (latex). The color of the balloon is set using a special dye added to the latex. The paint is composed of organic and inorganic compounds. Latex is obtained from the sap of rubber trees, which grow mainly in Malaysia. The material looks like cloudy juice or milk.
Step 2
The balls are made in special equipment - smokehouses, catalysts. In its manufacture, oil products, color additives and water are used. Dye is added to the latex, after which it is placed in a special container.
Step 3
To shape the balls, a special design is used that repeats the outlines of the future ball. It is preliminarily immersed in a coagulant to keep the rubber in shape. Calcium nitrate, water or alcohol acts as a coagulant.
Step 4
The mold is immersed in latex and passed through rotating brushes that deliver future balls to the conveyor. The molds are rinsed in hot water to remove free nitrates and placed in an oven at approximately 90 ° C for 20-25 minutes, after which the rubber ball is removed. Each of the blanks must have the same wall thickness and special holes for blowing.
Step 5
In the future, the balls undergo surface tension procedures and are treated with special antiseptic chalk. After that, they are driven through cleaning filters and all kinds of strength checks are carried out. After that, the ball can be considered ready.
